Start of the School Year 2025 in Buenos Aires

The Federal Council of Education (CFE) has set the start dates for the 2025 school year in Argentina, establishing a calendar that takes into account the particularities of each province. In some regions, such as Córdoba, Chubut, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, and others, classes will begin on February 24. In contrast, places like Neuquén will start on February 25, while Chaco and La Pampa will do so on February 26. In contrast, Catamarca, La Rioja, Misiones, and others will begin on March 5.

All teachers and administrators will return to schools on February 10 to participate in planning activities, training, and team meetings. The aim is to utilize these days before the start of classes for better organization of the academic year.

Regarding the winter vacations, different periods have been determined according to the provinces. In the Federal Capital, Buenos Aires, Chaco, and Santiago del Estero, they will start on July 21. In others like Chubut, Córdoba, Entre Ríos, Mendoza, and more, they will run from July 7 to July 18. Meanwhile, Catamarca, Corrientes, Jujuy, and others will have their vacations between July 14 and July 25.

The goal of this school calendar is to adjust class and rest times to meet the specific needs of each region. In the province of Buenos Aires, classes will start on March 5, while in Santa Fe, primary and special schools will resume on February 24, and secondary schools on March 5.

In conclusion, despite variations among provinces, the school calendar for 2025 has been defined in advance by the CFE, ensuring a uniform start across the country while taking into account the particularities of each region.
